| notes | The ring states Natural History Museum London It is an adult and we have watched it successfully breed this year producing 3 chicks. We found it dead close to our feeders but with no mark to suggest it has been killed. I would be very interested to hear how old the bird was and if it is likely to have simply died from old age. I had noticed the ring a good while ago but couldn't read it to report it when it was still alive. I think it is the male of the pair. |
